We love stopping here on our way up north. The location is great since it's right off of the 101. Like any every other In and Out, this place is always busy so don't be surprised when you have to wait a while whether your using the drive through or coming inside. The best thing about this particular location is there dog park/outdoor eating area. We travel with 2 dogs so this is great where their able to stretch out and handle their business. Not much to comment on the food- of course it's delicious.

This was my second go at In-N-Out. I am an east coast girl so I was super excited to try this west coast treasure and the first time was a total let down for me. This time a friend of mine said I might have gone at a bad time so he invited me to this santa Maria location where he works. This was my experience: First of all the place was packed which is a good sign right? Pros: Fast service Nice customer service Clean Meat can be cooked medium rare Produce was crisp Grilled onions are an added plus Quantity is good Place was clean Cons: Bun failed to hold up to toppings Patty size to bun ratio sucks Fries should be double fried for a better crispness that can stand up to the toppings Meat was not sufficient in flavor It was a better experience than the first time but when you hear about how people get home sick for this burger join I just expect more. Speaking to other native Californians they say that back in the day In-N-Out was great but quality has changed and please are still nostalgic but it's not the same.

This is the one restaurant I can go to around here and they get my order right Everytime. Some times the fries are not fresh but considering the other fast food hamburger places are never fresh, that's ok. I would defiantly recommend this place and defiantly keep coming back.

I'm breaking my own rule! Why? After 1.5 yrs in GA Where I ate more crappy burgers with crappy service IN&Out Deserves 4 stars. They have gotten our order right everytime and we've been here numerous times even though I forget to check In! They have chile peppers too and when the man & I asked for them after we placed our order they were super cool about giving us plenty. They are always nice and considering the volume of business they get they manage to keep the place clean and have good attitudes. Something those in the south who claim to have all that southern hospitality could learn from. The food isn't fancy as you know it's a basic burger with fresh ingredients which appeals to me less hidden crap like that pink slime so many places are well known for. They don't load their burgers with spices and seasonings to drown out the burger. It's also not 3000 calories with 1500 sodium like other burger joints do you can eat here and not kill yourself in the process unless you are doing the double double and animal style fries but we won't go there. :) We are thrilled to be on the Central Coast and get a decent burger with decent service by friendly people!

Waited in line at the drive thur for 30 minutes, only 8 cars in front of me.the food was ok.Santa Maria store is much slower than the norm...:(

I love In and Out normally. They have great service, fresh food, an overall fast pace and it's very reasonably priced. However, during my visit today when my friends and I ordered 3 well done fries, they weren't as crispy as they make them at other In and Outs in LA. Also we ordered one of them to be animal style which they did not do. When I informed them it took them 10-15 minutes for them to make. It wasn't until AFTER we finished and I asked them did they finally deliver the fries. The only reason why I gave so many stars is because I love In and Out and one of the guys was super helpful which was this stores saving grace.

Well, it's In-N-Out. That's really all you need to know.

    (4)
  • Lisa G.

Wow, spot on from start to finish. Great associate who took our order. Friendly, and ensured our order was correct by reading it back slowly. The food came out quickly and was nicely presented. The ratio of vegetables to spread was perfect. Meat was cooked well as per requested. The restaurant was clean and well stocked despite how busy they were. The dining room associate was busting his behind, but the patrons appreciated it!

  • Greg W.

The staff here is amazing and hot. No joke, your 4X4 and animal-style fries comes with a side of eye candy. In all seriousness this is a pretty standard In-N-Out location but they execute very well. Lines are not as crazy now that there's one in the Five Cities area, just avoid some of the high-traffic times and you'll be happy. Tip: Drive-thru is kind of weird, go left immediately for an easier trip.

  • Jennifer S.

Simply love this place! Food is always delish and fresh. The employees are SUPER friendly. Four stars and not five because a couple of times my double-double was missing onion that I had ordered on it. I will be a lifelong fan for sure.

  • Tiffany D.

I could eat here for the rest of my life! I love getting animals fries anytime I go there, simple burger place and cheap. I am glad they dont over charge for a meal like other places.

Customer service is #1 here!! I always get a smile and NEVER have a wrong order. Zack is always great!

    (5)
  • Emily D.

Love this place! The staff is amazing. When the lines get long they have staff out in the middle of all of madness taking orders and keeping the line moving along. If you pull up with children they offer stickers if you would like. The food is great, and always fresh. Easy access from the 101 so nice stop for both locals and those passing in town.

The best location and the best staff. A+. Clean, fast and friendly. This location takes pride in their preparation of the food as well. Always on point!

  • Drew B.

You come to In N Out for consistency, quality and service. This shop, late one Sunday while traveling hit all those marks. The consistency of the shakes was thick, burgers hot fries overflowing. Thanks, now on the road again.

  • Mammy J.

Love the food, sometimes the customer service gets a little creepy. Kinda in a "lets all drink the koolaid" kind of manner. Other than that great food at a great price. Always clean inside and have never had a mess up on my order.

  • Sergio C.

I fuckin love this place would be nice if it was bigger its always crowded but the food is always the bomb and its cheap

    (5)
  • Gabby C.

Service is always great and fast. If something is wrong they usually fix it without questioning or arguing back like Santa Maria burger does. The food is always delicious even the fries and a healthier alternative to most burger places!

    (5)
  • Chase P.

Gave it four stars because 4 out of five times I get a good chesseburger..though sometimes it comes stale and luke warm...the staff are always great never had any problems there at any location

    (4)
  • Brian B.

Awesome like most In N Outs. Cashier was friendly gave my son stickers and a employee hat. I had to change my order right at the end of them reading back the order and it was no big deal. Plus their food is good and still cost less than alot of other fast food.

  • Carl J.

Great!! I've been going here for years and I can't recall anytime I have been less than satisfied! Their food is so fresh and tasty, wow. They have a regular in me, that's for sure. I'm a California native, I know the beauty that is In-n-out, and I will always recommend it when I have a buddy from out of town looking for a place that is inexpensive and delicious. I do not mind the lines whatsoever. The people before me and the people behind me know the deliciousness of what we are about to consume, of course, so being in the line is like being among friends, hahaha. And honestly, if you're used to getting your food in 3 minutes like at McDonald's you do not have the taste buds to appreciate the quality that is In-n-out. Seriously, the wait is only like 15 minutes tops at it's heaviest hour when the drive-thru is backed up and they have that employee standing outside taking orders. It is not as long as you guys think it is. Stare at the trees and think about your life or something, you'll have your food real quick. I go here in between classes and I make trips from Nipomo to eat here. It's great, consistently satisfying, and it's comfortable. You know what you're getting and you know you're gonna have an enjoyable time. Bomb.

The jury is out. In n Out Burgers beats Five Guys-hands down. In n out burgers are much more fresh tasting due to the awesome lettuce and tomato in them, plus the very fresh ingredients. I'd say that the quality of meat between the two franchises are identical, so the rubber meets the road in the accoutrement department. Five guys drowns their burgers in a very tasty, but very heavy on the stomach, melange of awesomeness. They are great burgers, but only because they put an abundance of ingredients on them. In n out burgers offers a more honest experience. But that's just about the burgers. Five guys wins in the fries dept. In n out keeps their fries plain unless you want to have them animal style. My new discovery is the hot sport peppers offered at In n Out. They grilled some up and put them in my burger upon request. I will never have another burger from In n Out without them!

    (4)
  • Brandi G.

Prepare to wait in a long drive thru line though. No matter what time of day, there are always a ton of cars. Very limited menu but you know why you're going there, burgers. And that's about it. The fries are disgusting and always have been. I know they make them "fresh" but they always taste rubbery and never have much flavor. So to sum up... Burgers always awesome but skip the fries or grab some at mcdonalds down the street.

    (4)
  • Bruce C.

Best burger in America. Fries are hit and miss sometimes though but overall, just awesome

    Great grilled cheese

Burgers are always great .. I recommend the animal style burger and fries . ...which is a secret menu item ..could be a lot for one person . But so delicious . Totally recommend this place

  • Mark S.

Ah In-N-Out Burger. Always my first stop when I travel to Santa Maria. You can't beat their double-double, animal style of course. That and their strawberry shake to drink, I'm a happy fat boy

    (4)
  • Mynx C.

Usually always busy so expect to wait, however the urge for a fresh animal style burger and fries makes it well worth the wait!

    (4)
  • K. G.

This place is crazy-busy for a reason. Even with line backed up at the drive thru, they walked around to every car to get the orders ahead of time. I was in line maybe ten minutes, and this is with people practically dangling out the door for this place. Once at the window, they were friendly, fast and ready. My hamburger meal was only $3.50. I'm not from CA, but I can see what all the hype is about. Will go again. Thanks, iconic hamburger joint. We hear about you all the way on the East Coast. We enjoy our Chick-Fil-A the same way.

theres one 2 major burger/fast food chains that i'll return to with any sort of regularity -that fry their Burgers on a flat grill, and thats Wendy's and In and Out. The reason I give these two places two-thumbs up is "Freshness". I really like the great ideology that the late founder of In and Out -"Freshness"; "Service"; and "Cleanliness. Their Service is hands down the best of any Fast food chain, and it never ceases to amaze me how they keep their counter, kitchen, restrooms, and dining area spotless -considering their daily sales numbers are 3 or more times that of any other fast food business. When I first tried them 30 or so yrs ago -i was totally blown away BUT -then I learned all-about the infamous "secret menu" items -and that changed everything! I recommend everyone look-up on line and learn all the different options -because it it really allows you to cater to how ever you like you burgers, whether you like Medium rare, grilled onions instead of plain ones, extra cheese, no salt, or extra toasted bums -they can and will do just about anything to make you happy, heck you can even get burger condiments on your fries! and even ask for them just a little crispy (well-light" or all the way well done. I wish I could have got stock in the company back when they were just in California -now they're in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and soon will have their 3ed and 4 locations in Tex. If they ever totally go nationally, they'll really grab a huge chunk of the fast food market. - THEN all the east caost'ers will finally get to see what all noise is about on the west coast LOL

Today's smiley, cute boys were there and as sweet as ever BUT....the french fries were so oily. Like wrong oily.

  • Ruben C.

Great burgers. But if this is your favorite place then you gotta expand your burger experience.

  • Rich S.

Ahh, In-N-Out! If you like burgers and fries, how can you NOT love this classic American establishment? Perhaps if you live in a city or state that doesn't have In-N-Out? That predicament surely helps build on this fast food chain's hype. Bottom line: It ain't good for you, but it's damn good! As for the chow: PROS: Fresh cut potatoes; meat has very good flavor; buns are always soft and fresh; grease quotient low for this type of fast food; fresh ingredients; served piping hot; and damn tasty . . . did I mention fresh? CONS: 15 minute shelf life -- you don't want In-N-Out anywhere near cold As for the Santa Maria locale: PROS: Pretty good location, almost "central" to Santa Maria along its 101 corridor; staff are well trained, efficient, and polite. CONS: This locale needs to work on 2 areas: ensuring condiments are continuously stocked (i.e., napkins, ketchup, lemons, etc.); and they need to improve their cleaning style/performance of the dining area (i.e., sending an employee on a quick breeze thru w/ a cold, wet cloth to swipe at a table top ain't cutting it)

  • Janet O.

What can I say? There are two other fast-food choices when hunger struck on the way home. This is the better choice between a rock and rock! Haha! In n Out never disappoints! It feels my tummy with all the yummy! Vanilla shake and a protein style 4x4 and I'm good to go! This particular location is an easy " in n out" of the 101 freeway! Awesome location!

  • Amsterdam S.

in love with this place.... the staff is super friendly and clean clean clean.

    (4)
  • Amanda L.

When it comes to fast food, these are definitely the best, and might I add tastiest, burgers you can find. All their food is made to order using fresh ingredients, and you can even customize; I am pretty sure there is no limit to the amount of patties you can request to be stacked on your bun. There are even healthy alternatives like their grilled cheese/veggie burger (no meat patty) and their protein/bunless burgers (wrapped in lettuce). They also have a secret menu in which you can order "Animal Style" fries and burgers that are topped with grilled onions and their delicious secret sauce, or a neapolitan shake that contains the perfect balance of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice cream. Their staff is also very friendly which makes for an even better experience. My only complaints are that the line is always long (because the food is great) and that the burgers are a little on the small side - everything else is wonderful!

    (4)
  • K. S.

Can't get any better than In-N-Out! We love this place! Great Milkshakes, Great Burgers, Great fries!

    (5)
  • Doug A.

I LOVE In-N-Out but this one varies in consistency. They have good food and a friendly staff. I have had to have them recook my meal more than once because it was old or cold. I still love their food though. Don't understand why this one is not as good as others I've been to.

    (3)
  • Haz O.

Great burgers at great prices. Not the best, but excellent none-the-less.

  • Rob J.

Know what's funny? A monkey washing a cat. I mean, what?!??! Hilarious! Another thing I find funny is the whole In-N-Out vs. Five Guys Burgers and Fries thing. Oh you know what I mean, you hear about it ALL the time, people on each side shouting at one another, pushing, shoving, throwing ketchup packets, it's on all the news! Okay you won't find it on Yelp, cuz Yelp is like Switzerland or something, above the fray and whatnot. But I'll talk about it. Oh Hell yeah. I will go there. In-N-Out's better. There. I said it. I'm sorry if it hurt. I guess I'm just controversial that way. You knew that about me when we got together so don't look so surprised. In-N-Out is a SoCal legend. I read somewhere (I subscribe to many Fast Food Periodicals, deal.) that they only build a new restaurant that can be reached by truck in one day from their meat processing plant in L.A. somewhere. Obsessed with freshness much, In-N-Out? Yes! And that freshness makes their food so dang yummy. Ok non-SoCal people, be prepared to snicker at the menu. It has, like, 3 things on it. Burgers, fries, drinkables. That's it, that's the list. No Onion Rings, no Jalapeno Poppers, no Baked Beans. So if you're in front of me and haven't ordered after, like, 40 seconds, Imma be angry. Imma stare lasers into your neck. This is what to get, a burger Animal Style, fries (sure you can go Animal Style on them too, but maybe work up to it, rookie.) and something to wash them down, soda or a Neapolitan Shake (All 3 shake flavors in one cup. I know, right?) Now you can go non-Animal Style if you want, and it's perfectly edible, but the employees will give you that knowing smile when you recite this Secret Menu Item and being cool is cool. Animal Style means Google Animal Style and In-N-Out and you'll see how they do it. I'm not your Mom. All I know is the flavor combination makes my mouth feel super jazzed at what I'm stuffing into it. So you can have your greasy Five Guys but do they pay their employees twice the Minimum Wage, thereby making them happier or so I've read? (Remember I read articles about businesses and burger businesses and also some about fries.) I daresay not!!! In-N-Out has one of the 5 best burgers I've ever eaten. If you can try one, do it. You'll be one of the cool kids. Like me.

Stopped here on our way down to LA. We went inside and the restaurant was clean. The service was pleasant and the food arrived fast. The food... What can I say? It's In-N-Out. It's usually pretty good and this time was no exception. I had the #1 animal style. Burger was good as always and the fries were better than I remember them being.

    (4)
  • David R.

Woohoo! As good as it gets!

This was probably not the greatest experience at any In-N-Out I've had in recent memory. My Dad and I stopped here going both ways up North for business. Our first visit, we had no issues and went on our merry way. I ordered a protein burger which excludes the bun. Burger was great. Our second visit coming back the next day, things weren't so good. I noticed different people working and two of the employee's were wearing uniform shirts that were way too big for them. The shirts were sloppily tucked in. The guy who took our order had a noticeable hole on his shirt above the logo. Not a good way to represent the chain in my opinion. The other red flag was my food was wrong. The guy who took my order was having a very hard time with my protein style burger. He clearly was frustrated and asked for help from another co-worker to work the computer syste. Generally I am patient with people when this happens because they may be new. Finally he did figure out the order. Or so I thought. Then when I got my food, it was not a protein burger. It was a regular double double. My Dad and I were in a rush to get back to Southern California so I just took the patty off and ate it. I am quite surprised at the sloppy looking uniforms. Hopefully they make shirts that fit people normally!

Best fast-food burgers EVER. Fries aren't much to talk about. Shakes are amazing. Do yourself a favor and look up the secret menu before you go. I recommend a Double-Double, Animal Style, Extra Toast.

  • Oscar D.

love In N Out! great food! hate the waiting sometimes though.. but worth the food!

  • Ellie B.

Nice, clean and efficient place! The staff were friendly. I got a chocolate shake and an order of fries, animal style. It was all fantastic.

  • Edward T.

Fun Fact: Did you know that you can have as many patties as you order? My buddy once told a group of Boy scouts, from MN, this after they went on a ling hike, and they went crazy! Anyone who has ever had someone from the East coast come to California needs to take them here! I wanted to emphasize NEEDS to. I have had my fair share of tours that I have given of the Central Coast, and for sure, none of the tours could have ever been complete without a visit to one of California's true treasures which is In n Out! Edward Tomilloso

So yummy! Double-double is very delicious. I go here all the time. Best fast burger restaurant.

  • Ron Y.

Burgers are good, but I would prefer Wendy's or Red Robin. Don't like the fries, my favorite fries are at Del Taco or Red Robin. The shakes have a different texture and to me tastes like it's not cold enough.

This review is not for the food it is for the service. I travel from LA to SF at least 2 times a month and stop here frequently. I made a stop at this location and it was the worst service I've ever had. We clarified our order 2 times at the drive through and when we got up to pay the order was still incorrect. I mean how hard is it to get an order of: a #1 with diet coke and 3 cheeseburgers??? She rang up 3 cheeseburgers and removed the #1. Finally, the order was correct, she told us the total, we tried to pay, yet she didn't take the card for well over another min. At this point we considered just going to McDonald's where they get the order correct and verify it before you move forward. The food was great but took WAY too long to get. Needless to say, disappointing....

I don't go to this In-N-Out very often but I really enjoy it when I do! Their menu is the same everywhere, so if you've had in-n-out before you know what you like. Their menu is simple and delicious. Their French fries are made from real potatoes which is nice but they don't have an amazing flavor. It could be the oil that they fry it in or something, but I usually just order two cheeseburgers instead of a value meal. I like getting one burger "protein" style which means they use lettuce to wrap the burger instead of a bun. It gives it a different flavor but it can be messy. Make sure you have napkins. Their shakes are average. They are really hard to slurp up so you have to take your time and let it melt while you drink it. Really caloric though so I just try to stay away from them: about 700 calories each. In-N-Out usually takes a little while to get you your food so be prepared to wait at least 5 to 10 minutes for it to be served. They're definitely not Taco Bell.. Animal style looks and sounds gross, just sayin. But I know a lot of people like it so I don't hate :) Can't beat this place for road trip food and fourth meal!

  • John H.

Having eaten here twice, I am still stunned by the rave reviews this chain gets. Apparently to most people, a burger is a flavorless piece of meat on a crappy piece of bread with fries that are not much better than any other fast food place. The only way to make the food redeeming is to go animal style, which everyone and their mom orders despite being on the "secret menu." Five guys has better burgers hands down.

    (2)
  • David G.

Their burgers are so fresh and i love their fries. I want some in n out burger everyday and wouldnt get tired of it.

    (4)

Only way to make it better is if it is free. Great food for 3 people and under $20. Absolutely Amazing!

  • Andrew B.

Like everyone else from the east coast, In-N-Out Burger was on my Cali vacation to-do list. I had been told about the secret menu and told to get my burger "Animal Style". Of course, I didn't look at the internet for other secret items or even to find out what Animal Style was. I still don't know exactly what animal style means but it was really good. I don't remember the last time I had a burger so I can't compare to McDonald's or BK, I can only say I enjoyed my burger. I did get around to scouring the internet for more about their secret menu and what exactly it was that I ordered after I got home. More importantly, I found that I could have gotten my fries extra crispy!!?! This would have been useful information a week ago!!

    (4)
  • Amandie D.

This is probably the best burger on the planet. So fresh and delish. My favorite order is plain double-double, but add two more slices of cheese!

Can't beat fries, burgers are great and such a great price! No point in writing any more.

  • Kris G.

i'm from the east coast. we do not have in-n-out burger there. we are deprived. this was my first INOB experience. i will never forget it. i was on a road trip up the coast from LA to san francisco with two girlfriends from college. we had two days to get from LA to SF, and only one rule: we MUST stop at an INOB (this was my rule). being new to california, but not owning a car, i had yet to experience the beefy wonder that is INOB. i'm not sure i can describe the heavenly taste of that burger, but perhaps this haiku will convey my joy: beefy, cheesy delight; buttery bun, crunchy veg; animal style, please. food-gasm.

This is the second best hamburger in Santa Maria. First belongs to Orcutt Burger. But, In-N-Out is still absolutely delicious. 2nd place is miles ahead of anything other than Orcutt Burger.

Pros: Perfect service. Good price. Great burger. Cons: Always has a wait, but I guess it can't be a complaint.

We stopped here for lunch on our way back from Monterey to LA. Very conveniently located right off Highway 101. We had enough time to get off the offramp and head straight for In N Out. There were McDonald's and Wendy's across the street but I guess there was no no there... Go figure. We were not disappointed. We were able to find a seat right away. The line to order was not long, and the food came out hot as usual. Double double and grilled onions for me. There was a huge In N Out sign in the front that was perfect for picture taking. It wasn't in the way so we got a good picture with the famous logo sign. If I could have an In N Out burger every day, I would. Too bad I live about 2,500 miles from the nearest In N Out not to mention there is water in between me. Maybe I can try and be a long distance swimmer?

No one can make cheeseburgers as yummy and delicious like In-N-Out. Whoo-hoo! ^____________^

    (5)
  • Alan A.

In-N-Out is starting to accept Visa/MC, which is a plus when you don't want to hit up the ATM just for the iNOB fix (yep, you heard it right: "i-NOB"). Easy access off & onto the highway, & a nice park w/ bench if you are traveling with pets. One of my favorite burger stops; a step above BK and Mickey D's. Misc: serve yourself Coca-Cola products; fresh pink lemonade; late hours on Fri. & weekends

  • Karina R.

One thing that's great about In-N-Out is that you can eat late lunch there at 4 or 5 pm and still eat a nice size dinner elsewhere around 8 or so (a double-double animal style no mustard or regular with grilled onions). Or, you can go bigger for a full lunch and get the 3X3 and maybe some animal fries. HEAVEN! (The regular fries suck, but that can't take away from the rating.) I started eating here years ago when I would visit Las Vegas from the Midwest. Now that I live in Cali, I eat at the one in Santa Maria on average twice a week. Can't wait till they open the one in Arroyo Grande. I'll be eating there a lot more.

Dudette/dude (ladies first), I've eaten here so many times since they've opened in Santa Maria. I can't think of one bad visit here! sike I can. sike I can't. sike I can. sike I really can't. This is a top-notch in-n-out. They should win an award, or they should, at the very least, change their name to Disneyland, because it's a pretty happy place. At least the times I've been there. Okay, new plan, whenever I go there they should change the name to Disneyland. there. I have nothing more to add.

You can't really go wrong with this place. The menu is simple and everything is fresh and tasty. I have had better burgers before some small mom and pop places I know of. However, this is definitely as good as it gets for "fast food."

Inn-N-Out Burger is THE simplest Burger Joint out there, but it is also the BEST, by far. Not only do they use Fresh Potatoes instead of frozen like the other chains, they will actually cook the fries and the burgers to your liking! I personally don't like my burger cooked to death, and the same with my fries. You can order Med-Rare on the burger, and "Light" fries, to where they aren't so Crispy (unless you like them that way, that is) It is the only place I know of that has a "secret" menu, where you can get the burger "Animal Style" or you can order a "Flying Dutchman" or a "Grilled Cheese" or a 3 by 3 or 4 by 4, and the list goes on..... just go to their website, and you can see all the possibilities. The Shakes taste better here also. The service is always friendly, and fast, and they go through a lot of people in a day. There is indoor seating, and in most of the In-N-Outs, have outdoor seating, also.

driving down the 101 trying to get home, starving for dinner, and seeing nothing but mcd's and jack in the box for miles, this was a welcome respite for empty stomachs! good job, santa maria.

If you are at the halfway point between San Francisco and Los Angeles, and looking for a good place to eat a fast food burger, In-N-Out is the place to go! They only have three items on the menu (burger, cheeseburger, or double-double cheeseburger), but there are secrets that you can tell the servers like "Animal style" (gets you grilled onions, pickles, and grilled mustard) or "protein style" (aka an Atkins diet-type variation) on your burger or fries "well done" (if you want extra crispy fries). Only downside is that it can get crowded during peak hours, but it's still worth the wait.

Love In-n-Out! I know it's crazy to give a fast food place 5-stars but what can I say... the burgers are great. The fries are fresh and not coated with preservatives or crazy chemicals like other fast food chains. The fries are also fried in healthy oils and are cholesterol free. The milkshakes are delish. Definitely get your burger with grilled onions... yum!!

I've loved In-N-Out since I was little, but it was too far away from our house when we moved to the Central Coast. I'm thrilled to be living close by now! The Animal Fries are an amazing--if calorie-loaded--treat, and their iced tea is always fresh and good-tasting. (Animal Fries are fries with cheese, grilled onions, and thousand-island spread melted over the top--not on the menu, but SOOO worth trying!) I also love their burgers with grilled onions. Do a Google search for their "Secret Menu" for tips on all the yummy stuff that's not on their menu boards, like "Animal Style" and "Protein Style" burgers. Maybe the greatest thing about this chain is that they pay their employees really well for a fast-food chain, so the staff is always friendly, smiling, and helpful. They print Bible references on the bottom of their cups and food wraps, too, which speaks volumes about their business philosophy! Overall, an excellent place to eat, especially late at night when nothing but a Double-Double will satisfy.

Who doesn't love In-N-Out I mean come on!! I had 2 sub-par visits though. One night my fries were so brown and old looking and another night not even cooked thoroughly. I contacted corporate since I went through the drive through and didn't notice until I was home. Corporate was very nice and accommodating in making sure I came back for a more pleasant experience and even made a follow up call to make sure I was satisfied. I would never (ever) stop going to In-N-Out because frankly, stuff happens especially when new people are hired on but I appreciate how caring corporate was! Customer for life :)
